Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.
So I went onto my goodreads to help me out with this weeks theme, because I can never remember what I have read and when I have read it, and I was super surprised at some of the new authors that I have only just read this year. Some of them I feel like I have been reading FOREVER! And then there are those few that I am kinda embarrassed to admit that it took me until 2014 to finally get round to reading something by them!
Colleen Hoover – This was one of the authors that upon finishing my first Colleen Hoover book I thought: “Why the hell have I never read these books before?!” And then very quickly picked up the next one! I love every book she has released so far and cannot wait for her new releases in 2015!
Stephanie Perkins – 2014 was the year that I FINALLY picked up the Anna & the French Kiss series and WOW was it worth the wait! Again, I can’t believe I waited so long! Can’t wait to read more by her.
Becca & Krista Ritchie – Checking back on my GR’s I couldn’t believe it when I discovered that I only started the Addicted series in January this year! I feel like I have been reading this series for years! So much love for the Ritchie sisters right now, so happy I discovered them!
Beth Revis – It feels like so long ago when I read the Across the Universe series, but what a series to introduce you to an author! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another Beth Revis series just as incredible as her first!
Aven Ellis – Every time I reread Waiting on Price Harry (my first Aven Ellis book) I am so thankful that I remembered to check my emails on the day the ARC’s where announced because otherwise I probably would have never discovered the talent that is Aven! Plus, how awesome is her name?!
Non Pratt – Another author with an awesome name, I actually bought this book after seeing Non speaking at YALC this summer. I found her so entertaining and laughed so much that I immediately went over to her stand and bought her debut book. Such a gem!
Rainbow Rowell – It wasn’t until this summer and YALC that I finally picked up one of the Rainbow Rowell books that had been getting dusty on my bookshelf. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, but actually surprised myself and now can’t wait to get my hands on more!
Gayle Foreman – WHY OH WHY have I waited so long to read a Gayle Foreman book?! Why is it only in 2014 that I am finally getting round to it?!?!?! Scary thing is that I own most of the books, but they are just sitting on my shelf! This year I read If I Stay, prompted to finally pick it up because I wanted to read it before seeing the film, and I am so glad that I did!
James Dashner – Another author I have been meaning to read for AGES but finally picked up this year because I wanted to read the book before the film came out! I devoured this entire series over a few days, but sadly still haven’t seen the film!
Cecelia Ahern – Same situation as James Dashner here, have been meaning to read her for ages, finally read one of her books because I had to read it before the film, and then never got round to seeing the film! I really should go to the movies more often!
