Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Movies/TV Shows

July 15, 2014 Top Ten Tuesday 21

Top Ten Tuesday2

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

This weeks theme is mean! How did they expect me to pick only ten, when I am probably obsessed with about 100 tv shows and movies so picking just ten was torture! But I did it!

TTT1-3

TTT1-4

Chicago Fire – Sexy firemen, enough said! Haha, but truly, it is a great series and I never realised all the stuff that firefighters have to do!
Game of Thrones – I am such a fantasy geek, so this series is absolutely amazing! I plan to read the books this summer and I can’t wait!
Sons of Anarchy – Before watching this series I never thought I would like a tv show about biker outlaws, but it is so addictive! Plus, Charlie Hunnam is totally hot!
Arrow – It’s not just because Stephen Amell is hot (because he totally is) but because I totally fell in love with the character Oliver Queen years ago when watching Smallville. I love that he is a superhero but he has no super powers, it is all skill (and hotness!)
Once Upon A Time – I only just finished watching this bit I was totally amazed by the way the writers manage to use the real fairytale story details but twist them into one show. So clever!
The 100 – I didn’t know about this book before I discovered the series, and still haven’t read it yet, but the series is so good! I love the whole concept of the kids alone trying to survive.
Falling Skies – It’s only on for 10 episodes once a year, but for those 2 1/2 months I am totally addicted! Survivors of an alien apocolypse, so good!!!

TTT7-10

Avatar – It’s one of those films that is entertaining but also has an important message as well, plus the whole creation of the world and the way it was all filmed (I am a film nerd!) is just AMAZING!
A Knights Tale – One of those classic films that shows that is you are a good guy with a big heart then you can change you stars. Plus, hot men on horses whacking each other with big sticks. Awesome!
Frozen – Because Disney has finally decided to show little girls that they don’t need men to save them. Sisters doing it for themselves and all that! Plus, brilliant sing along movie!

What’s on your list this week?

Brilliant list! I’m a big fan of Frozen. I love the look of Once Upon A Time so I should really check it out.

YES! DO IT! I held off watching for for ages and then I finally got round to watching it and LOVED IT! I think I watch 3 seasons in like 2 1/2 weeks, SO ADDICTIVE! Really is such a cleverly wrote series šŸ™‚

  2. For the Love of the Page

Oh, A Knight’s Tale is such an amazing movie! I had it on VHS but unfortunately I know longer own a VHS player. šŸ™ And I haven’t seen one show that you love… weird, I always thought I watched a lot of t.v. lol

    • Broc's Bookcase

I only watched it a few days ago which is why it was on my mind when I was doing this list, it really is a great movie šŸ™‚ Haha, my shows are very varied. There are a lot more that didn’t make this list that you probably do watch. My tastes really are kind of random! Thanks for stopping by! šŸ™‚

Love it? I’m obsessed with it! Do you follow Stephen Amell on Facebook? He is always posting awesome arrow stuff up. I get a little bit stalkery sometimes, it’s bad! So excited for the next season to start though! šŸ˜€

That’s okay, I stalk those on tumblr who stalk Stephen Amell, so I stalk by association. October is so long away!

        • Broc's Bookcase

Haha, stalk by association. I like that! I know right! I’m trying to distract myself with so many other tv shows this summer so I don’t miss it too much! šŸ™

Fab list! You have great film/TV suggestions here! A Knight’s Tale is one of my favourite cheer up films ever! You are so on the money about big men on horses with big sticks, but I do feel that Watt would reply “it’s a lance, hellooooo.” (Sorry- couldn’t resist- it’s my favourite line from the whole film!!!)

    • Broc's Bookcase

Haha, I do love that bit! But I think for me, Chaucer, and his introductions really are the best bits. Make me laugh, make me cry (that last one when he is introduced as William! Wow, tear fest!) Thanks for stopping by! šŸ™‚

  4. Raised A Reader

I really want to watch Once Upon a Time. I love fairy tales, and everyone is always raving about it!
Hey, Brave and Mulan also showed that girls can be as strong as men! šŸ™‚

    • Broc's Bookcase

DO IT! I only just recently watched it and at 5 minutes into the first episode I was like “WHY HAVE I NEVER WATCHED THIS BEFORE!” It is such a brilliantly written show. Ahh, yes you are right, I guess I like this one though because it is all about sisterhood, and that kind of love rather then the ‘princess and prince’ kind of love. Thanks for stopping by!

A Knights Tale is awesome! I watched it again just the other day to remind myself how very awesome it was. Great List

    • Broc's Bookcase

It really is. I watched it on Saturday and so it was totally on my mind when writing this list and it just had to go on here! Thanks for stopping by! šŸ™‚

When I skimmed comments for The 100 book, it seemed as though the novel counterpart was devoted to the romantic angles of everything–which I’m glad that the show didn’t focus on (I mean, it’s there but not in-your-face-there). If CW network continues with their Arrow lead-in to The 100 during the fall season, that’s one day I’ll be excited for television!

    Cheers,

Yeah, it kind of does seem that way, but someone else told me that the books have a lot more about the ships etc in them and I’m rally interested to find out more about them. Haha, yeah šŸ™‚
