Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Movies Adaptations I Need/Want to Watch

November 10, 2015 Top Ten Tuesday 15

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

So mine is a bit of a mix this week as I couldn’t decide whether to make a list about the movie adaptations I can’t wait for, or the ones I still need to watch!

TTT Adaptations I Still Need to Watch

The Book Thief – I’ve said from the start that I wanted to read the book before I watched the film, I just haven’t managed to read the book yet! (IMDB . Trailer)

Me Earl and the Dying Girl – I feel a bit like this book/film has just sprung out of nowhere and it’s only in the past month that I have actually heard of it. It reminds me quite a bit of TFIOS, but even so I can’t say no! (IMDB . Trailer)

The Longest Ride – I do love a good Nicholas Sparks book and film and I’m embarrassed to say that I haven’t read the book or watched the film for this one. I’m hoping to get round to it soon though! (IMDB . Trailer)

The Scorch Trials – The film I cannot believe I haven’t watched yet! I love the Maze Runner trilogy and have been so excited for the movie adaptations, but for some reason I haven’t watched this one yet! (IMDB . Trailer)

TTT Looking Forward To

Allegiant – After the way that Insurgent ended (slightly different to the book) I am curious to see where they are going to take the story with this one. I really hope they stick to the book! (IMDB . Trailer)

Me Before You – I haven’t actually read this one, but have seen some amazing reviews for it. Plus Sam Claffin is going to be in the film, so that is a reason in itself to go and watch it! (IMDB)

The 5th Wave – I feel like this one is going to be the new YA Dystopian film series now that we are getting to the end of Hunger Games and Divergent. I haven’t read the books yet (they are still sat on my shelf!) but still got time before the film release! (IMDB . Trailer)

The Death Cure – Such a big fan of The Maze Runner trilogy, I can’t wait to finish watching the film adaptation and I’m really hoping they keep it close to the book. (IMDB)

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – I actually went to the set in Liverpool where they were filming part of this, and although I only actually got to see the fake snow on the outside of the building, it was still amazing and I can’t wait for another film from the world of Harry Potter! (IMDB)

Mockingjay Part 2 – So close to this one being released and I CANT WAIT! This trilogy has been one of my favourite YA movie adaptations of all time and it’s going to be sad but amazing to see the final one. (IMDB . Trailer)

Ugly Love – Ever since Colleen Hoover announced this one I have been SO EXCITED! Her books are amazing, and I can’t wait to see this story on the big screen! (IMDB . Trailer)

The Darkest Minds – Another one that I haven’t read the book but it looks like it is going to be amazing! Plus, I still have tons of time to get started on the books! (IMDB)

Which movies did you choose for this week?

What do you think of my choices? Have you watched/are excited for any of these?

I haven’t seen the Book Thief yet either. I also want to read the book first but i haven’t gotten around to it even though the book is on my bookshelf.
I can’t wait for Fantastic Beasts.
    Thanks for sharing!

Haha, glad to know that some is in the exactly same situation as me! We will both get round to reading and watching The Book Thief…someday! I know, I’m so excited!

Me Before You is such a great book and I am super excited for the movie. I think it wil translate well. I read and didn’t really love Me and Earl and the Dying Girl but I think the movie looks good. Great list!!

I really really really need to read Me Before You! I don’t think I’m going to end up reading Me Earl and the Dying Girl, but I will watch the film. You have to give a lot more time to a book, and with all the amazing books on my TBR there are so many others that I want to read first. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

I just saw The Scorch Trials over the weekend and enjoyed it. I haven’t read the books (but my husband has) so I have no issue (or knowledge) of it varying from the book. I saw a long preview of The 5th Wave while waiting for The Scorch Trials to start and that got me even more excited to see it next year. Me Before You… I so hope it’s done well! I loved the book so much.

The Maze Runner trilogy is amazing, you should definitely read it if you have the time. It’s done pretty well so far of keeping to the book. I need to read both The 5th Wave and Me Before You before the movies are released!!! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Great movies on your list! There are quite a few on here that I want to watch myself. I NEED MOCKINGJAY PART 2 TO COME OUT ALREADY!!! I am beyond excited for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and I really hope I end up loving it. Here’s my TTT.

I know right?! It feels like we have been waiting FOREVER for Mockingjay! I know already though that it is going to be SUPER emotional! I’m going to have to take like 5 boxes of tissues in with me! Fantastic Beasts looks good from the pictures they have released so far. Excited for more!

  5. Michelle @ Pink Polka Dot Books

I hope you LOVE the Me & Earl movie!! It’s not AS funny as the book, but it’s more with the feelings. I’m also SO excited for Mockingjay pt 2. I will be in the theater opening weekend! Thanks for stopping by my list 🙂

I still haven’t bought my Mockingjay cinema tickets! *GASP* Must get on that!!! I’m probably not going to end up reading Me & Earl, but will definitely check out the movie 🙂
