Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases for (the rest of) 2015

June 9, 2015 Top Ten Tuesday 15

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish. Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

Today is a good day, because after today I am only in work for 1 more day and then it’s the weekend! My cousin is getting married on Saturday, so I have taken the Thursday and Friday off work to get myself all ready and do girly things with my sisters. I don’t know if I’m more excited about the wedding or the fact that I only have to work for 3 days this week!!!

There are so many books I have been checking out that are being released in the second half of this year. Some of them are from authors I have read before but there are quite a number of debut authors and just new to me authors that I am also excited to check out!

Release: August 4th
A single dad who is a senior in high school and whose girlfriend (and baby mommy) died after giving up on her cancer treatment to save  unborn babies life. This book feels like it’s going to be very emotional, and I’m totally ready for it. I’ve never read anything by Jessica Verdi before but this looks like the perfect book to introduce me to her.

Release: August 4th
The same guy who wrote Let’s Get Lost, the book that I have been meaning forever (aka. since it came out!). I heard such great things about his first book and this one just sounds really fun with a totally unexpected and cute romance. If I was going to be on a beach this summer then this would be the perfect beach read!

Release: August 18th
I love seconds chance romance stories and this one sound amazing especially when I say this in the description: “inspired by a real-life missed connections story”. It’s not just realistic fiction, it’s based on real!!! I have never read any Renee Carlino books before (I also never heard of her before finding this book) but I check out some reviews online for some of her other books and she sounds like my perfect type of author!

Release: August 26th
I can honesty say that I have never read a book about conjoined twins but this one really intrigues me. I love stories about families, especially sisters, and with no mention of any kind of romance involved it feels like it going to be a unique and refreshing read. I get the feeling it is also going to get VERY emotional too.

Release: September 22nd
Oooo this one sounds GOOD and is another one that is based on real life events. It’s also kind of creepy that things like this actually happen in real life, but it looks like such an interesting read. Plus it’s another to add to my debut author reads for this year, introducing Aaron Hartzler into the world of Young Adult!

Release: October 6th
This I love the idea behind this one, sticking up for fat (but not fat) girls everywhere! A controversial topic for her debut into the world of Young Adult, but this one by Jen Larson looks good! Also, it totally reminds me of my Grandad, who (when I got up to make him a cup of tea a few days ago) told me that “You’ve gained some weight Hannah, you used to be skinny!” If he wasn’t 94 or my Grandad then he would be getting a slap!

Release: October 13th
Ok, so I know I still haven’t read the first book int this series yet, but it does not mean that I cannot be excited for the second one! I still have Snow Like Ashes sat on my bookshelf at home and it is very much my plan to read it this summer, and then get my hands on the next one, because I know I am going to want to read it because I will love the first book because the things I have heard about it are AMAZING!

Release: October 13th
Firstly I LOVE this cover and second I LOVE the idea for this story! Oh me oh my I am excited for this one! We normally get stories from the victims POV, but Cammie McGovern has flipped the whole thing on it’s head and gone from the other POV. I really like the tag line to this one ‘sometimes the worst things you can do is nothing at all’. I’m really intrigued to see the development of the characters in this one, and there’s a hint of romance so smiley face for that!

Release: November 3rd
I’ve been excited for this one for quite a while now, but still have a long time to wait to get my hands on it. I read a book quite like this one a little while a go called Skin Deep and really enjoyed it. Courtney Stevens is another new to me author, but after doing a bit of weird booknerd stalking of her and her books I’m even more excited to get a hold of this book!
Goodreads

Release: November 3rd
I love art themed books and really like the mash up of the two different types of art: a graffiti artist and an anatomical obsessed artist. It feels a little bit like one of those ballet meets street dance type films, but with art instead and as a book. But the same premise really. I am very excited for this one!
Goodreads

ALSO… Never Never Part 3

There is no official release date yet, but there are rumors that this trilogy will be finished this year, so here’s to keeping our fingers crossed for the release of this book, sooner rather then later I hope!

Wow. So this is by far the most diverse list I’ve read today, and the most I got recommendations from! I’m curious about this Renee Carlino book because I remember reading a sample chapter of one of her other books and I really liked it! And THE ANATOMICAL SHAPE OF A HEART! Sounds. Awesome. Lovely blog, by the way!

    Here’s my TTT!</a.

Haha, I can’t stick to just one type of book, I get bored! I’ve never read any Renee Carlino, so excited to try out this book. Glad I could recommend some to you, and thanks for stopping by! Happy Reading 🙂

  2. Chrissi Reads

Some really pretty covers on my list, I think that’s what pulls me to them in the first place! I only just discovered about Dumplin’. Really want a copy of that one now! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Haha, my apologies! I have this exact same issue every Tuesday! My list just seems to be growing and then I forget about the books on it and so it never goes down! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  3. Becky @ A Fool's Ingenuity

I haven’t heard of a few of these books, and I completely forgot about Renee Carlino’s new book, so I cannot wait for that to come out so my TBR list is growing. The Truth About Lies looks interesting as well. Thank you for the list I love finding new books and yours has a few of those!

    • Brocs Bookcase

That is my favourite thing about TTT, I always find new books which I would have never heard of had I not seen them on someones list. Glad I could help expand your TBR! Happy Reading 🙂

  4. Holly @ Nut Free Nerd

I had no idea that Adi Alsaid was releasing another book! I still haven’t read Let’s Get Lost, haha, even though it’s been sitting on my bookshelf for AGES. Maybe I’ll marathon the two of them? Anyways, great list! 🙂

    • Brocs Bookcase

Haha me neither! I’m planning on doing the same. Thanks for stopping by! Happy Reading 🙂
