Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Characters I Wish Would Get Their Own Book

Top Ten Tuesday2

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

I could have very easily filled this weeks list with ten Harry Potter characters. But I felt that that may be a tad obsessive, so I added a few non Harry Potter too, for a little bit of variety!

TTT Dumbledore

The Harry Potter SeriesJ.K.Rowling

We learnt so much about Dumbledore’s past in the later Harry Potter books but I would love to learn more, about his life before Harry and Hogwarts. It seems like such an interesting story, kind of sad and heartbreaking, but one I would be very interested to read never the less. I would also really like to have the current Harry Potter books time period but from his POV. He often knows more then he lets on to Harry and I would love to know the knowledge and secrets hidden behind them half moon glasses.

TTT Gale

The Hunger Games TrilogySuzanne Collins

We always know what is going on with Katniss and Peeta whilst they are in the games, but what about Gale, left in district 12 having to watch the girl he loves fall in love with someone else. I would like to know whats going through his head, and how he deals with it all, and how life is in the district during the games. I would also like to know more about what happens to him after Mockingjay.

TTT Luna

The Harry Potter SeriesJ.K.Rowling

I would LOVE to experience the world through Luna’s eyes. Both the good and the bad, I feel like she would give a very unique perspective on it all, and probably make me laugh a whole lot too. I would also like a book about life after HP & The Deathly Hallows for her, just to see what she gets up to.

TTT Natalie Prior

The Divergent SeriesVeronica Roth

We learnt a lot of Natalie’s past in Allegiant and I would love for her to get her own book so we can see her experience it all. (I’m trying to write this without spoilers – not easy!) I would also love to see how different Chicago is before Tris & Four’s time to see how much it has changed.

TTT Snape

The Harry Potter SeriesJ.K.Rowling

Just like with Dumbledore I would love to know Snape’s story (from his own POV) from before Harry and Hogwarts. We are given some snippets in HP & The Deathly Hallows, and it just made me need to know so much more! And again, just like Dumbledore I would also really like to have the current Harry Potter books time period from his POV. From Harry’s POV we go through the entire series thinking he is one type of person, only to find out at the end that he is so much more. I would love to experience his journey through those seven books.

TTT Issac

The Fault In Our StarsJohn Green

I LOVE Isaac and find his story totally heartbreaking. He looses his sight, he looses his friends, it’s just very emotional. I would love to know more about his life, both before and after TFIOS. I feel like he deserves it. His story may not be an epic love story like Gus & Hazel, but it’s just as important and powerful in my opinion.

TTT The Marauders

The Harry Potter SeriesJ.K.Rowling

James Potter, Sirius Black or Remus Lupin (NOT Wormtail!) I would love a book from any of these characters. I want to know more about their school days, about their creation of the Marauder’s map, becoming Animagus and of all their adventures. I would also really like to see how James & Lily got together.

TTT Roar

Under the Never Sky SeriesVeronica Rossi

We did get a little novella from Roar’s POV, but it was much too short for me. I needed more, so, so much more! I would really love more about his relationship with Liv, and just so much more about him. Wow do I LOVE him!

TTT Neville

The Harry Potter SeriesJ.K.Rowling

We know from the final chapter of HP & The Deathly Hallows that Neville ends up teaching at Hogwarts but I needed to know more! I want to know what else he is up to. Plus I really want to know more about his past and his family life. He doesn’t have the happiest of upbringings due to his parents mental health, but he is such an important character that I feel like he is owed his own book.

TTT Angela

The Inheritance Cycle – Christopher Paolini

I loved Angela from the first moment I met her in this series, but there were always questions about her, questions which I’m sad to say never got answered. She is such an intriguing character and we get little clues about her past from different things that she lets slip, but we never fully learn who she is, what she is and her complete story. I would really really love to find out who the real Angela is because I really do love her so much!

Do you agree with my choices this week?

Which characters do you think deserve their own book?

I’d love a Marauders book, and a prequel about Dumbledore would also be excellent. That whole business with Grindelwald is interesting. Really, any Harry Potter character could carry their own book.

    • Brocs Bookcase

Definitely. I think I’m just not ready to say goodbye to the HP world yet, so would happily read a book about any of the characters, even the evil ones!

Oh noooooooo! I’m sure she would forgive you, she’s nice like that 🙂
