Top Ten Tuesday2

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

TTT Book Recommendations

Bird Box – This recommendation was sent to me via Goodreads and it looks kinda scary but the story really intrigues me. I’ve been waiting for a day that I can read this surrounded by people and happy thoughts so I don’t end up hiding behind the couch!

The Geography of You and Me – This book has been recommended to me so many times, but I think the thing holding me back with it is that I read This is What Happy Looks Like and was totally disappointed with it and I I’m scared this book might be the same.

Winters Tale – Slight lie, it was actually the film that was recommended to me, but during my research into the book the person I was speaking to about it told me I should definitely read it, so I’m taking that as a recommendation!

Pride & Prejudice – I am so bad with the classics, I own them all but I just haven’t read them yet! I can’t count the number of times I have been told to read this book. I will get round to it … someday!

The Book Theif – I refused to watch the fil until I had read this book, so I bought it and it has been sat on my kindle ever since and I must have had at least twenty people tell me that I need to read the book!

TTT Series Recommendations

Lux Series – My friend Sam has been nagging at me for FOREVER to read this series, and I do really like the look of it, but there always seems to be something else I want to read a little bit more!

Uglies Series- One of my friends bought the first book in this series and could stop talking about it and telling me that I need to read it. It does look like a great plot, I really should read it!

Covenant Series – Another recommendation from my friend Sam. She normally picks very good books so I totally trust her with this one, I just need to find the time to read it!

The Giver Series – I found this one through the film and mentioned it to my friend Sam who couldn’t believe that I hadn’t read it yet and told me that I must, IMMEDIATELY!

Shadow & Bone Series – I’ve lost count of how many times this series has been recommended to me. I should just read it!

What do you think of the books that have been recommended to me?

Have you read any? Are they any good?

Whats on your list this week?

From what I remember of reading THE GIVER sixish years ago (dear GOSH), it was really, really good. I don’t remember everything about the Uglies series but I liked it! I was super disappointed in the WINTER’S TALE movie, but the book will hopefully be much better. The Grisha trilogy is okay, but you might like it, and THE BOOK THIEF made my list as well. Thanks for stopping by!

I’m on the exact same page as you on The Book Thief. I don’t want to watch the movie until I’ve read the book but so far I haven’t started it yet 🙁 I definitely recommend the Lux series! It’s so much fun and just makes you laugh 🙂

I just hope it is better then This is What Happy Looks Like, I was really disappointed with that book 🙁

Out of this list, I have only heard of Pride And Prejudice and The Book Thief. I haven’t read Pride And Prejudice, but would definitely recommend The Book Thief – it is such a beautiful book. A gem of one, actually.

I really really need to read it. Actually kinda embarrassed that I haven’t already!
