Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books On My Birthday List

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

I’ve been so so busy these past two weeks that I actually completely forgot it was Tuesday! Horrendous I know, but no worries I am here with my list! And even more exciting, it’s FREEBIE WEEK! So as it’s my 24th birthday in October I decided to start my birthday list as my TTT list!

I’m a massive fan of second chance romances and this one sounds perfect. I have read so many good reviews for it so it will definitely be making my birthday list!

I’m currently part way through The Lunar Chronicles and so my love for re-tellings has grown a lot over the past few weeks. This one looks brilliant and easily makes my list!

Ok, so you are going to laugh at me for this one, because I haven’t actually read the first book Snow Like Ashes yet. BUT I plan on reading it after I finish with the Lunar Chronicles, and I know from all the fantastic reviews that I have read of the first book that I am going to love it an need to second book IMMEDIATELY. Hence the need for it to be on my birthday list!

Goodreads (Kaleidoscope Hearts) . Goodreads (Paper Hearts)
I read Paper Hearts a few months ago and loved it, but sadly as I had borrowed it from a friend I had to give this beautiful book back. So now I want my own copy! And whilst I’m asking for that, I might as well ask for the next book in the series Paper Hearts, which I have been waiting for what seems like forever to be released!!!

I still can’t believe that I haven’t read this one because I was so excited for it’s release. I seemed to wait months for it, and then totally forget about it once we got to June! But I still really want it and so it is going on my birthday list!

I read The Year We Fell Down right at the beginning of this year and LOVED it and had big plans to read the next book immediately. But then life got in the way etc etc and I totally forgot about it. I’m hoping that getting it for my birthday would mean that I would actually get round to reading it because I know I’m going to love it!

I am a MASSIVE fan of Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter world, and I loved reading The Mortal Instrument series but I really want to read more. My friend is forever obsessing over Tessa, Will and Jem and telling me that I HAVE to read this series, so book one is on my list!

I have been reading quite a lot of Fantasy/Dystopian books recently and I really love immersing myself i all the different worlds. I really want to get my hands on this one because it sounds fascinating! Added to the list … yes!

Another book which I obsessed over for months, and then forgot about when it was released. It’s such a unique story and the reviews I’ve read online can’t recommend it enough. I need this book in my hands like NOW!

What did you chose for freebie week? Have you read any of the books on my list? What else would you recommend I put on my birthday list?

Ohhh happy early birthday!! *confetti* I really liked Clockwork Angel (actually the second two books are even better), and Emmy & Oliver is one of my favorite contemporary books published this year!

Aww, thanks 🙂 I really do want to read Clockwork Angel and the other books in that series too. I am so jealous that I haven’t read Emmy & Oliver yet, I think it’s going to be one of the first that I read out of my birthday books!

Thanks, I’m really hopeful I get these, especially Emmy & Oliver! Have heard so much amazing stuff about it!

Mechanica look gorgeous. I have been anticipating it since I first saw that fabulous cover!
I hope you get some of these and thanks for sharing.

I know right, I want that cover in a frame and on my wall! So pretty! 🙂

Cool topic, birthdays are always good for presents, and what better present than a book? You have an excellent selection of books on here too. I really want to read The Year we Hid Away too, I read the first book a few weeks back and was convinced I was going to read the next one soon, but then I’ve been staring guiltily at my TBR pile and decided to put it off. And I’ve been dying to read Before We Were Strangers for ages for the cover alone, but also I love Renee Carlino’s work. Is Kaleidoscope Hearts good then, I was intrigued by the cover and then never committed to buying, if you liked the first and want to read the next one I may have to check it out.

I can say I’ve read Emmy & Oliver, though. You do need to read it, the reviews are right and it’s good. I really enjoyed it anyway.

Yes! You really should check out Kaleidoscope Hearts, I loved it! I have promised myself I am going to read The Year We Hid Away by the end of this year! So jealous I haven’t read Emmy & Oliver yet! It’s first on my to read pile once I (hopefully) get it for my birthday!

Would you believe that my birthday is in a matter of days and I DON’T have a birthday book list?! What is wrong with me? LOL If I had one, though, it would definitely include Before We Were Strangers. I am super excited for that one. I enjoyed Kaleidoscope Hearts and I want to read both Torn Hearts and Paper Hearts. But I imagine I’ll just add those to my Kindle instead of getting physical books. Clockwork Angel trilogy… loved it. I’m pretty sure I have hard copies of those. That last book was a heart breaker. Best Epilogue Ever! I’m actually reading Emmy & Oliver right now and loving it! I just have a library copy but I might have to go buy it. I’m loving it that much. 🙂

I hope you had a good birthday and got many bookish things! I have been wanting to read the Infernal Devices for so long, I’m excited to get my hands on a copy of them and get started! I can’t wait to read Torn Hearts and Paper Hearts too! Jealous, I can’t wait to read Emmy and Oliver! 🙂
