Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Read in 2015

December 15, 2015 Top Ten Tuesday 6

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

Ok, so my top ten best books of 2015? This one has been SUPER hard and of course I went over 10, but only by a couple!

TTT Never Never

Never Never Part 1 . Never Never Part 2
By far one of my most favourite collaborations of all time, Hoover and Fisher are masters and the first two books in this series have been incredible! I’m counting this as one, because I’m a cheat, but both of these books are truly amazing and had to be on my list this week!

TTT Winners

The Winner’s Curse . The Winner’s Crime
I was a bit late to this one, but it was great because it meant that I got to read both books together and didn’t have to wait an entire year between them (like I am having to do for the final book in the trilogy, The Winners Kiss). Marie Rutkoski is one of my favourite authors from this year (especially since I got to meet her at YALC!) and both of these books truly deserved their place on my list!

TTT Sweet

Sweet Hope . Sweet Soul
Not really a big surprise that so many Tillie Cole books made my list this year because she has released a few and they have all been amazing! I can’t recommend either of these books enough (or the entire series) and there was never any chance that they would not make my list today!

TTT Addicted

Fuel the Fire . Long Way Down
Another of my favourite collaborations of all time, the Ritchie sisters released the final two books of the Addicted series this year and wow where they both incredible! Romance, heartbreak and oh so much emotion! These books are by far some of my favourite of all time, let alone 2015!

TTT Nov 9

November 9 . Kaleidoscope Hearts
Another CoHo book on my list this week because DUH, she is amazing and this highly anticipated book was such an incredible read! Kaleidoscope Hearts introduced a new author into my life this year, who I will definitely be reading more of in the future, if I ever get the time in between rereading this amazing book over and over again!

TTT Lunar

Cinder . Scarlet . Cress . Winter
This only counts as one!!!!! (yes, I am cheating again!) Part of me is sad that it took me so long to read this series, but then the best thing about only reading it this year was that I got to read it as one long story with no torturous waits in between! All four of these books were amazing and all deserved their place on my list this week!

TTT Tillie

Souls Unfractured . Reap
More Tillie Cole! I’ve never been one for bearded bad boys normally, but when Tillie writes them I just can’t help myself and I adored both of these books and the broken characters they featured who completely broke my heart. Some of my absolute favourite books ever!

TTT Ember

An Ember in the Ashes . My Heart and other Black Holes
Both of these were new to me, debut authors for 2015 and both of them totally blew me away. Tahir wrote one of the most incredible dystopian books with a fantasy world I couldn’t get enough of. Whilst Warga ripped out my heart with the beautifully haunting book about two teenagers who become suicide partners. Such powerful books and such incredible authors that I will definitely be reading more of for years to come!

Which books did you chose this week? Did you manage to stick to ten or completely fail like me?

What do you think of my choices? Have you read any of these this year too?

I found it to be such a unique story, I’d never read anything about Suicide Partners before. It was quite shocking to realise that it actually happens so much in the real world. She’s got a new book, still unnamed, out this year and I am so excited to get my hands on it.

  1. Amanda Marie

The Lunar Chronicles made my list this week as well! There are so many great books I had a hard time figuring out just 10. You picked some awesome reads.
Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a great rest of the week!

I can’t believe I waited until 2015 to read the Lunar Chronicles, amazing series 🙂

Oooooo that’s hard. I think Cinder was amazing, but I loved Winter because of all the various relationships between the characters. I can’t wait for Stars Above to be released in February and all the extra bonus scenes!!! 🙂
