Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Book Related Wishes I’d Ask a Genie to Grant

October 20, 2015 Top Ten Tuesday 18

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

This weeks topic is great because there are always things I am saying “I wish that…” so now is my chance to actually put them down on paper so when a Genie comes along I am totally prepared!

TTT WIsh 2

Dear Book Genie,
I’m not one to beat around the bush. I wan’t Hogwarts to be real, and I want to go there and learn magic, and fly a broomstick and have my own owl! Not too much to ask for really, is it?!
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT Wish 6

Dear Book Genie,
It makes me really sad when I find out a book is being released in, for example, the US weeks or even months before it will be available in the UK. Please make book releases the same date everywhere in the world so I no longer have to spend extra money on delivery!
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT Wish 4

Dear Book Genie,
I read SO MANY BOOKS, especially series I am always forgetting what each book is about! This normally results in me rereading books which takes A LOT of time out of reading new books. So I wish for a better memory, so I can remember EVERYTHING about all the books that I read.
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT Wish 8

Dear Book Genie,
If I could chose ANY book to be adapted into a film it would be Nought’s and Crosses by Malorie Blackman. But I want it done properly! No missing out big chunks of the story or changing the ending. Who cares if the film ends up 4 hours long! It must be PERFECT!
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT Wish 5

Dear Book Genie,
I know what you are thinking: she wants that library from Beauty and the Beast! But I don’t need that. I just want a room in my house which is just for books, with enough bookshelves and some comfy couches to snuggle up and read on. Pretty please!
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT Wish 10

Dear Book Genie,
There are so many amazing bookish events that happen around the world that I would LOVE to go to but my piggy bank can’t fund them all. So free travel would be nice, or maybe even some kind of superpower like Teleportation or the ability to Apparate (which I would learn at Hogwarts!)
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT WIsh 1

Dear Book Genie,
My library kinda sucks. I try very hard to be a good bookworm and not spend lots and lots of money on books. I got to library frequently, but they don’t have anything new and all the books in the YA section are at least 6 months old. I really would like some newer books there pretty please, so I can save my pennies!
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT Wish 9

Dear Book Genie,
So this one is a big dream of mine! I really would love to meet J.K.Rowling at some point in my life. Now I can’t promise that I’m not going to faint, cry or become a crazy fangirl but still, I really do think I deserve this one!
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT Wish 3

Dear Book Genie,
So many books, so little time! If you could please give me some kind of superpower or magical device that lets me stop time then I can get all my books read and still get all my work done too! Really this one is for the good of all!
Sincerely, Hannah

TTT WIsh 7 Dear Book Genie,
I realise the rest of my wishes have been a little selfish, so I thought I would add this one too. It makes me really sad when I hear about the children around the world who don’t have any education so don’t get the chance to learn to read, and even in this country there are tons of people who can’t read. And to think that all these people are missing out on this thing that gives me so much joy and happiness, I find that wrong. So if you could please let everyone be able to read, then that would be nice too.
Sincerely, Hannah

Aww, your last wish is SO SWEET. Mine were all entirely selfish. haha. omg, but I would LOVE a better memory for books too…it’s the absolute bane of my existence that I can never remember books in series. When it’s a year (or more) between books….agh. It just all FLIES out of my head. >_< I also second the need for ONE release date for books! It gets so confusing, omg.
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

Haha, I though I’d be more likely to get all the selfish ones if I put a nice one in too! 🙂 YES! Thank you! Glad to know I’m not the only one with a wish for one release date. I guess you have just as many problems in Australia as I do in the UK with them. I find it really unfair, we love books just as much as the US, so why must we wait! Hopefully we will find a genie soon and our wishes can be granted 🙂

Ah so many great wishes!!! I also wanted my own library in my house, to be able to go to all the bookish events and more time to read. I would love a better bookish memory. I could finish a book and black out on so many details – makes review so hard!!!! Love your last wish so much <3

Seeing some of the lists this week I am glad to say that we are not the only ones who forget book details! I am constantly making little notes in my phone whilst reading books so I remember to put them in my reviews! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we find some genies and get all our wishes! 🙂

    • Brocs Bookcase

I always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and keep missing good events! Can’t help but get jealous when you see the same people attending all the author events! Oh well, we can only wish! 🙂

    • Brocs Bookcase

Oooooooooo great book club pick! So much to talk about! I really hope your entire group loves it! 🙂

    • Brocs Bookcase

I think we are all so alike that we agree with everything on each others lists!

    • Brocs Bookcase

Yes!!! Glad to know I’m not the only one who wishes for this. I am forever suffering with book envy when a book is released earlier in a different country than mine! 🙁

    • Brocs Bookcase

Haha, maybe if we all wish hard enough then it might actually be true!!! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my list 🙂

Being able to go to more book events would be amazing. I’m always so jealous of people who get to go to LOADS!
