Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Best Sequels Ever!

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten List and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

Apologies for my extremely late Top Ten Tuesday this week. Mega manic times at work and I’ve only just got round to putting my list together. Better late then never I guess. So here’s my 10 …
1. Harry Potter (in general) – J.K. Rowling
I chose to put this as one choice, otherwise the entire series would have taken up most of my top ten choices! Each sequel is better then the last, ending with (in my opinion) one of the best book endings I’ve ever read.

2. Catching Fire – Suzanne Collins
I really love the entire Hunger Games series, but some of my favourite moments are from this book. The 75th Hunger Games are amazing, my favourite of the two. Plus there is the start of a rebellion and the introduction of some really cool characters.

3.Insurgent – Veronica Roth
The perfect sequel to Divergent, and the perfect set up for Allegiant. This book only took me a day to read and featured a really good ‘start of the rebellion’ story.

4. Scorpia Rising – Anthony Horowitz
I don’t just read Young Adult books, and this series is a great reminder of how varied and completely random my reading tastes are. NOT just for teenage boys who want to be spies, this series is amazing. My favourite book, and sequel, is Scorpia Rising, the final book in the series.

5. Inheritance – Christopher Paolini
The last book in the series and such an AMAZING sequel. Christopher was originally going to write his books as a trilogy, but after being unable to cut down book 3, he split it into two. And I’m so thankful he did. This book left me happy, sad, amazed and angry all in one go. The signs of a perfect sequel!

Sequels I Haven’t Read Yet But Know Will Be INCREDIBLE!

6. Allegiant – Veronica Roth

7. Champion – Marie Lu

8. City of Heavenly Fire – Cassandra Clare

9. The House of Hades – Rick Riodan

10. Light – Michael Grant

Have you read any of these? What’s on your top ten list?

Do you have any that you think I might be interested in reading?

I need to just give in and read Cassandra Clare. I’m not even sure I’ve read one bad comment on her books. BAH.
