Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.
This week is HARD! I am rubbish at things like this and so massive apologies if when reading my list you are like “Well that’s a STUPID choice, why did she pick THEM?!” So yeah, my list probably sucks, and I couldn’t think of 10, but oh well!
Keary Taylor & Sarina Bowen
These authors have both written books that feature young people with new disabilities that they spend the book adapting to. They both wrote such a beautiful story with characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. For me Keary’s main characters and the emotions they made me feel were my favourite of the two, but I loved the setting and the supporting characters of Sarina’s book. I feel like these two would write a great YA College Romance with some excellent characters together.
Tillie Cole & Colleen Hoover
Tillie writes epic romances, Colleen writes epic romances. Tillie writes damaged but totally loveable characters, Colleen writes damaged but totally loveable characters. Tillie writes heartbreaking but beautiful stories, Colleen writes heartbreaking but beautiful stories.
These women are AMAZING and a book by them would break me cry and have me crying out and ENTIRE ocean of tears. But I would LOVE it, every single minute of it!
Beth Revis & Veronica Rossi
These authors have written very similar dystopian/sci-fi book series, both of which I absolutely adored. I actually ended up reading both series around the same time so they merged into one story in my mind so I kind of feel like I have already read a book by these two authors. But it would be really cool to read one for real.
George R.R. Martin & Christopher Paolini
Can you image the world that these two would create?! It would be INCREDIBLE! The people and the world and the DRAGONS! Of course there would be dragons! Both of the authors have already created fantasy worlds that I LOVED escaping to, so a world created by both of them would have me packing my bags and actually trying to climb into the book!
Sabaa Tahir & Marie Rutkoski
The thing I love about both of these authors is that their past books have both featured quite a bit of political stuff. In the dystopian worlds they have created everything is strategy and the characters are super smart, and for someone who HATES politics with a passion, I couldn’t get enough of it all. So because of this I feel like the two should team up, because a dystopian world with a kick ass female lead by one of them was gooood, so one by both of them would be AMAZING!
I often wonder if these girls can read each others minds (twin telepathy is definitely a thing!) because their writing is flawless. I have no idea how they actually write their books but at no point have I ever felt like I am reading a book by two people. But their two minds together are incredible and their Addicted series is by far one of my favourites, and one I am so sad is nearly over! Bring on more KBRitchie books!
Have you read Never Never? No?! Well then get the book immediately and read it! CoHo and Tarryn Fisher make an excellent team for the Never Never trilogy, and again their writing is just flawless. Their books are written from two POVs, so each author takes a character and writes only as them. The voices are distinctive, but the characers and the story just seem to meld together so effortlessly to create a really addictive read. I cannot wait for the final book in this trilogy!
