Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten 2016 Debuts I’m Looking Forward To

December 1, 2015 Top Ten Tuesday 5

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

So I must apologise for my post looking a little plain this week. I am currently travelling Denmark and Norway and created this post between my tiney tiny phone and a computer with very bad internet access!

I took part in the debut challenge this year and until I started counting them I actually wasn’t aware of how many debuts I read. I managed to meet my goal of 12 by September! I will definitely be taking part in the challenge again and here are some of the debuts I am most looking forward to…

Blackhearts (Nicole Castroman) – A blackbeard esche story. Hells yea! This one just seems like such an amazing topic to write a debut about! I think this is one of my most anticipated for 2016!

This is Where It Ends (Marieke Nijkamp) – I was lucky enough to get this one from Netgalley but haven’t actually read it yet. It’s a very relevant topic in todays world and I can’t wait to see how Nijkamp tackles it.

The Girl Who Fell (Shannon M. Parker) – I’m aways looking for new authors who write a good romance and this one looks like it would be a perfect swooney read.

Firsts (Laurie Elizabeth Flynn) – I must admit, I’m interested to see where this one goes. I got a copy through Netgalley and it’s on my list to read next, so super excited to see where it goes.

The Girl From Everywhere (Heidi Heilig) – A ship that travels through time, I mean, is there anything else we need to know to make us want to read this book?! No! I want it now!!!

Burning Glass (Kathryn Purdie) – I feel like, from the description of this one, it would be perfect for fans of Marie Lu’s ‘The Young Elites’ and Sabar Tahir’s ‘An Ember in the Ashes’. I’m excited to read about this new world from Purdie.

These Vicious Masks (Tarun Shanker) – So first line int he description “Jane Austin meets X-men”, you’ve got to admit, you are intrigued just as much as I am!

Beyond the Red (Ava Jae) – I feel a Romeo and Juliet style romance happening but between an Alien and half blood in an interesting sounding world. Very interested in reading this one!

Timekeeper (Tara Sim) – The premise of this one really fascinates me. I’m a big fan of book involving Time as a major part of the story, and this one with it’s weird magical clocks that stop time when they stop sounds totally fascinating. Want it now!

Bookishly Ever After (Isabel Bandeira) – Ok, so it was the title that pulled me towards this one (and the cover!) but which of us hasn’t wished we could have a romance that is just like a bookish romance. This one looks cute and a perfect read for 2016!

Which movies did you choose for this week?

What do you think of my choices? Have you watched/are excited for any of these?

This is Where it Ends looks a popular choice for 2016. I hope you get the chance to read it 🙂
