Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

I’m normally pretty good at finishing a series as I hate not knowing how it ended. I think the most likely reason I don’t finish series is because I have to stop and wait for the next one to be released, and then I totally forget about it until months later long after the next books has come out. That is definitely the reason for most of the series below …

Gone (Michael Grant) – I really liked the first 3 books in this series and had every intention of continuing with it, but time constraints and busy workloads and just so many other books that I wanted to read more meant that this series never got finished.

Percy Jackson (Rick Riordan) – I love the Percy Jackson books so much and I really really do want to finish them, I just haven’t. I don’t know why, I think maybe there is just always something new I want to read first. But I’ve been trying to be good recently and read the books that have been on my shelf a while, so maybe this one is next.

The Ivy Years (Sarina Bowen) – I loved The Year We Fell Down and really do want to continue with this series. I really like the sound of the second book ‘The Year We Hid Away’, but just can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of this series.

Hearts (Claire Contreas) – Kaleidoscope Hearts was possibly the best recommendation I have ever been given and it makes me sad that I haven’t had the time to continue with this series. Technically the 3rd book isn’t released until tomorrow, but I know for a fact that I am going to NEED to read it!

MysticSeeker (N.L.Greene) – I can’t lie, I totally forgot about this series and then was flicking round goodreads a little while ago and realised I hadn’t read the third and final book yet! I really need to because I need to find out if she ends up with the guy that I want her to end up with!

Lorien Legacies (Pitticus Lore) – I started reading this one a while ago, before all the books were released. Now they all have been but I’ve never picked the series back up again. I read a review for one of the later books a few days ago and now I really want to finish this series!

Pushing the Limits (Katie McGarry) – This is the one series that I am totally ashamed that I haven’t read all of because I am a MASSIVE Katie McGarry fan! I don’t know how this happened! But it must be fixed, immediately!

Stupid in Love (Cindy Miles) – Another one which I had to stop reading because the next books hadn’t been released yet, now they have but I still haven’t read them. I loved the first book so can’t wait to read the rest of them!

All Shadowhunter books (Cassandra Clare) – This isn’t so much of a series but more of a set of books. I have read the Mortal Instruments series, but never got round to any of her other series. Since they are all based around the Shadowhunter world I am counting them in my list this week!

What do you think of my choices? Have you read any of these?

Who did you choose this week?

From your list, I only finished the Gone series. I didn’t even notice I was already on the last book, it went by me so fast. I liked the plot and the characters. What happened to them was so surreal, and they are so young! Anyway I was hooked. I hope you get to finish it too and like it 🙂

I chose Mortal Instruments, Ruby Red, The Grisha trilogy and Uglies for my list, to name a few.

Great choices for your list. I still haven’t even started The Grisha Trilogy, but have been meaning to FOREVER! I’m really excited to finish the Gone series. I saw the book trailer for the last book a little while ago and was like I NEED TO READ THIS NOW!!!!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by to check out my list!

I just love your word graphics, Hannah! Do you use Photoshop for that? I wish I was talented enough to create such fun graphics but, alas, my talents lie elsewhere. 🙂 I liked (not loved) Kaleidoscope Hearts and I’m looking forward to reading Paper hearts. I’m betting you’ve already read it by now! 🙂 Like you, I adore Katie McGarry and I can’t believe I’ve fallen behind with her books. I still need to read Breaking the Rules and Nowhere But Here.
