Ten Books I’ve Recently Added To My GIGANTIC TBR Pile

January 19, 2016 Top Ten Tuesday 10

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.

I decided to go with all 2016 releases this week because there are a whole lot of them in my TBR at the moment (so much for getting my TBR number down!) most of which I am desperate to get my hands on.

I totally went over ten, but it would have been impossible to stick to, and I get the feeling after checking out everyone else’s lists today my TBR is going to expand ridiculously!

(Release: May 17th 2016)
It Wasn’t Always Like This
– I love this ‘love across time’ type of story and I am so so so eager to get my hands on this one!

(Release: May 3rd 2016)
Shuffle, Repeat
– I love the look of this quirky romance. It’s one of those stories that you know how it’s going to end, but it’s the journey (or car journey in this one) that makes the story unique.

(Release: March 1st 2016)
In Real Life
– This one has a hint of Because We’ll Never Meet to it, but I’m hopeful that I will like this one better. Plus, I love the cover.

(Release: May 24th 2016)
Outrun the Moon
– There are so many books recently in with young female heroines ‘saving the world’, Katniss Everdeen and Tris Prior being just two examples. But the thing that makes this book and female lead stand out to me is that they are set in the real historical backdrop of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.

(Release: May 31st 2016)
– I do love a good romance, and this one looks great. Plus, after reading Jen Malone’s bio on Goodreads I feel like I need to read all of this ladies books so we can become BFFs and I can hear all her crazy travel stories!

(Release: July 19th 2016)
A World Without You
– I loved Beth Revis Across the Universe trilogy but this is something so totally different. I have never read anything like this and I’m so intrigued about this one that it immediately went on my TBR.

(Release: August 30th 2016)
A Torch Against the Night
– I absolutely LOVED An Ember in the Ashes and I am desperate to get my hands on the next book in the series!

(Release: February 2nd 2016)
Stars Above
– I was a bit late to The Lunar Chronicles, but my love was no less than anyone else’s and I am so desperate to get my hands on this book and the additional scenes it gives us!

(Release: June 14th 2016)
False Hearts
– This one just looks so different to any story I’ve ever read that I have to read it!

(Release: February 23rd 2016)
– So excited to get my hands on this one!

(Release: May 17th 2016)
The Problem With Forever
– One of my best friends has been trying to get me to read Armentrout’s Lux series forever, but I still haven’t gotten round to it. I don’t know, maybe it’s the wrong genre for me. But this book looks like exactly my type of book, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

(Release: March 29th 2016)
Walk the Edge – I LOVED Nowhere But Here, the first book in this new series by Katie McGarry and so when I found out about the second book I immediately added it to my list!

Which books did you chose this week? Did you manage to stick to ten or completely fail like me?

What do you think of my choices? Are you hoping to read any of these too?

Oh god yes, Stars Above. I’ve already read a couple of the stories but having them all collected like that will be awesome!

  2. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

So many good ones on your list, Hannah! (Including a couple that are now on my TBR… thanks. LOL) It Wasn’t Always Like This sounds amazing. I will totally be looking for that one come May. And JLA and Katie McGarry… total auto-buys. 🙂

  3. Chrissi Reads

There are far too many good looking books on this list! I want to read so many of them. My TBR is out of control right now and this meme doesn’t help!

  4. Carlisa

I’m super excited for Stars Above! Marissa Meyer is actually coming about an hour away on her book tour for it, and I’m going and over-the-moon excited. Have you read Winter yet? That’s definitely my favorite of the series!

I haven’t heard about a lot of the other books on your list, but I’ll have to check them out!

  5. Cait @ Paper Fury

Ahhh I am eXCITED For First Life! I think the cover might have something to do with that?!?! 😛 Ahem. And also I hadn’t heard of A World Without You yet so I’ll go look that up…(I’ll confess I’ve never read any Beth Revis either. GAH WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING WITH MY LIFE??!?!?? Eating cake and wasting time clearly.) And omg Stars Above. *dies while waiting* My shippy heart NEEDS to see who gets married. xDDX
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

  6. Becky @ A Fool's Ingenuity

Good picks, I currently have the ARC of Walk The Edge on my Kindle waiting to be read but I’m putting it off for some reason. I may need to move this up. Can I just say It Wasn’t Always Like This sounds so interesting! I wouldn’t have ever heard of this book or looked twice at it until you mentioned it being a love across time story, this sounds interesting to say the list. I am definitely adding that to my TBR list.
