THE STORY

Two addicts. One epic love story.

Prepare for the worst.

That’s what Lily and Lo try to do when Jonathan Hale schedules an “important” meeting. The problem: after being swept into the public eye and battling their addictions, they’re not sure what the worst is anymore.

In a sea of many changes—including Ryke & Daisy living with them—Lily realizes that the best part of her fluctuating hormones might just be the worst.

Her sex drive is out of control.

Loren knows that she’s insatiable, but he’s not giving up on her. She’s too much a part of him. And as he carries more and more responsibility, some of the people that he loves doubt his resolve.

In the conclusion to their love story, Lily & Lo stand side-by-side to fight, one last time, for their happily ever after.

**AUTHORS’ NOTE**
Due to the 2-year gap between Addicted for Now (Addicted #2) and Addicted After All (Addicted #3), you must read Thrive (Addicted #2.5) or the Calloway Sisters spin-off series before reading Addicted After All.

THE AUTHORS

Author PhotoKrista & Becca Ritchie are identical twins. They write New Adult books that make you cringe, gasp, and go ooh-la-la. (If you do that sort of thing.) They are currently working on the spin-offs and final books in the Addicted series.

THE INTERVIEW

Favourite quote from Addicted After All?

Krista: I’m not sure I can share my favorite quote without there being spoilers involved. But I will say that I love many quotes from AAA. And most of my favs are between Lily & Lo.

Becca: Same! I wish I could share, but it’d be spoilery. I’ve been doing my best to keep secrets (even though it’s so tempting to spill some stuff). I think we’ve succeeded in staying quiet for this book, which I’m super happy about!

Hardest part of writing Addicted After All?

Krista: The hardest part of AAA was probably incorporating the multiple storylines and plots. There’s a lot packed into the book, even if the main focus throughout is Lily & Lo.

Becca: Agreed. We definitely had plot-points we needed to cover, but we always start off scenes with the mentality: “what do we want to see?” not necessarily “what plot needs to come next?” That way it’s more fun for us to write and more fun for you to read. So we had to constantly check ourselves and make sure to sprinkle things in everywhere.

Favourite book of the entire Addicted/Calloway Sister Series to write?

Krista: That’s so hard! My favorite book and my favorite one to write are probably different. Kiss the Sky is my favorite book because it’s fun and the most different book in the series. It also has a lot of themes I love, but it was the most difficult to write. Therefore, my favorite book to write is probably Addicted After All. Hands down. It was so enjoyable and satisfying. I loved writing it from beginning to end.

Becca: Kiss the Sky was the hardest to write! Gah. It was stressful at times, but it was a rewarding book. Same for Thrive. But like Krista, Addicted After All has been the most enjoyable book to write of the entire series. We’ve said that to each other multiple times since we’ve finished the novel. Maybe it’s because we’ve reached the end of the story, with lots of closure. AAA is almost my favorite 🙂

Lo, Ryke or Connor? If you could wish one of them to be a real life person then who would you pick?

Krista: Hands down, Connor. He’s unlike anyone else, so it be really interesting to see him in the real world.

Becca: I think there are probably a few Lo & Rykes already existing in the world. So I’d say Connor for the pure fact that I’d love to meet a Connor. Just to see him in the flesh and know that there’s someone like him out there. Not to date him, necessarily.

If you were a superhero what superpower would you have and what would you call yourself?

Krista: Definitely teleportation. I absolutely hate traveling, so this would be Ah-Mazing. And even though I’d be a teleporter and I should probably have a name like “Blink” I’d still want to be called “Kaboom.” Because I find it kind of badass but cute. And, you know, it starts with a K 😉

Becca: We always choose the same thing because it’s the most practical. Teleporation is the pinnacle of all superpowers. Mind reading, blah. I don’t want to listen to thoughts when I can blink and ta-da, I’m at Disney World! Flying is unnecessary and slightly terrifying. I’d want to be called “Magic.” So simple. And it subtly reminds me of Harry Potter.

.The Story(summary from Goodreads)

Virgin. Sex addict. Daredevil. Alcoholic. Smartass … Jackass. Her five friends are about to be filmed. Reality TV, be prepared.

Rose Calloway thought she had everything under control. At twenty-three, she’s a Princeton graduate, an Academic Bowl champion, a fashion designer and the daughter of a Fortune 500 mogul. But with a sex addict as a sister and roommate, nothing comes easy.

After accepting help from a producer, Rose agrees to have her life filmed for a reality television show. The Hollywood exec is her last chance to revive her struggling fashion line, and boundaries begin to blur as she’s forced to make nice with a man who always has his way.

Twenty-four-year-old Connor Cobalt is a guy who bulldozes weak men. He’s confident, smart-as-hell and lives with his equally ambitious girlfriend, Rose Calloway. Connor has to find a way to protect Rose without ruining the show. Or else the producer will get what Connor has always wanted—Rose’s virginity.

.

My Thoughts

Both Rose and Connor were characters that on first impression (in Addicted to You) I really didn’t think I was going to like. But they both grew on me very quickly and now I love them just as much as our other favourite four characters in this book.

“I’ve wanted so many things in life, but you’re the one that has meant the most to me.”

The Story(summary from Goodreads)

He’s addicted to booze. She’s addicted to sex… staying sober is only half the battle.

No. More. Sex.

Those are the three words Lily Calloway fears the most. But Loren Hale is determined to be with Lily without enabling her dangerous compulsions. With their new living situation—sleeping in the same bed, for real, together—Lily has new battles. Like not jumping Lo’s bones every night. Not being consumed by sex and his body.

Loren plans to stay sober, to right all of his wrongs. So when someone threatens to expose Lily’s secret to her family and the public, he promises that he’ll do anything to protect her. But with old enemies surfacing, Lo has more at stake than his sobriety.

They will torment Lily until Lo breaks.

And his worst fear isn’t relapsing. He hears the end. He sees it. The one thing that could change everything. Just three words.

No. More. Us.

The Story(summary from Goodreads)

As a sex addict, Lily Calloway must do the impossible. Stay celibate for 90 days.

Cravings and fantasies become her new routine, but while Loren Hale recovers from his alcohol addiction, Lily wonders if he’ll realize what a monster she really is. After all, her sexual compulsions begin to rule her life the longer she stays faithful to him.

Progress. That’s what Lily’s striving for. But by trying to become closer to her family–people who aren’t aware of her addiction–she creates larger obstacles. When she spends time with her youngest sister, she learns more about her than she ever imagined and senses an unsettling connection between Daisy and Ryke Meadows.

With Lily and Lo’s dysfunctional relationship teetering and unbalanced, they will need to find a way to reconnect from miles apart. But the inability to “touch” proves to be one of the hardest tests on their road to recovery. Some love brushes the surface. Some love is deeper than skin.

Lily and Lo have three months to discover just how deep their love really goes.

.

My Thoughts

When I found this book on Goodreads I originally thought it was a novella. It was listed as book #1.5 in the series, so I was expecting something short 3 month gap between Addicted to You and Addicted for Now. Instead we got a full 260 pages and a story just as addictive as the first.

“I want to love Lo without people telling me that our love is too much.”

This book has a very different vibe to it due to Lily and Lo being in recovery. They no longer have the freedom to live their addictions and life has suddenly gotten a lot harder. Lily is now living with sister Rose and is studying at Princeton whilst also working as Rose’s PA. Lo is at rehab and Lily is allowed no contact with him, nor to know where his facility is. No alcohol for Lo, no sex for Lily, no Lily and Lo together for a whole 260 pages (aka. three months).

.The Story(summary from Goodreads)

She’s addicted to sex. He’s addicted to booze…the only way out is rock bottom.

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they’ve pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex.

Their real vice may be each other.

Initial Reaction

A few hours after recording this I found out that there a more books in this series currently available, so I totally take back what I said about it needing a prologue (which should have actually been an epilogue anyway!)
