The weekend is almost over, which means back to work tomorrow for most of us. So to cheer you up (and myself) I am going to be giving you a little bit of bookish fun every Sunday, to make the end of the weekend that little bit easier!

This weekend I am in the Lake District with the bf and feeling sooooooo relaxed. I have been looking forward to this weekend for months. We’ve been eating loads of yummy food, checking out some beautiful places and of course I managed to fit in some reading time too!

Next month I will be going to YALC (Young Adult Literature Convention) in London, and whilst looking for some bookish stuff to do whilst I am there I found some great bookish bars. So I thought I would share some of my favourite, for those of you who live or will be visiting the UK in the future…

The Drawing Room, Southbank

The thing I love most about this place is that to get to the drawing room you have to find the secret door behind a bookcase! So cool!

The Society Club, Soho

A bookstore AND a bar, what could be better?! Apparently there book selection is amazing, and when combined with their selection of bar snacks, it;s the perfect place to hang out!

Far Rockaway, Shoreditch

If your more of a comic book fan than a book lover then this is the place for you! It just looks so chilled out and homely.

Library, Covent Garden

If you’ve got £500 to spare then buy yourself a membership for this VERY exclusive place in Covent Garden. Their book selection is meant to be amazing, and if you find yourself still there reading late into the night then you can stay in one of their overnight rooms!

You check out more of the bookish bars in London right here

Have you ever been to a bookish bar? Which is your favourite from this list?

Enjoy your Sunday and have an excellent week!

Wow! These all look fantastic! I really want to visit Library in Convent Garden now! That chair SCREAMS Beetlejuice! I’m now on the hunt for bookish bars around me. Thanks for the introduction, Hannah!

Haha, I’m glad I could help you discover bookish bars! I know, I really want to visit Library too. Must get saving and get myself a membership! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Oh my gosh these are awesome!! I don’t really go to bars – mostly it’s house parties or clubs. But I would definitely make an exception for bookish bars because <3 <3 <3

I’m more of a bar person than a club person, and I like that you can sit and chill with a glass of wine AND also read books! CLubs are a bit too noisy and sticky to do that! Haha 🙂
