Initial Reaction

My ThoughtsHOLY WOW! These women need to write more books together because this is INCREDIBLE! We got nothing but mystery from the 5 sentence blurb, and I think we were all sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for this one. Lucky for us it got released 2 whole days early! And then it started, that flurry of “OMG THAT ENDING!” on my Goodreads and Twitter feeds!

This review is going to be a hard one to write because how do you tell people how awesome a book is without actually telling them the parts which make it awesome?!?!?! As I said before, we are really given nothing to go on from the description, so this review is going to be kinda short because I really think the best way to go into this book is to go in knowing very little!

This is the first time that Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher have wrote a book together and after reading it you would think they had been writing buddies forever. Colleen wrote the guy’s POV and Tarryn wrote the girl’s POV. Then the two halves were put together and voila, a perfectly blended book which flowed beautifully. At no point did it feel like I was reading two different authors, it was flawless.

“I may not remember anything about her, but I would bet her smile was my favorite part of her.”

From page one I was drawn to these characters. Their story is full of suspense and you can’t help but be totally hooked to it especially with a love story so delicately swirled into it’s core, this is not something you want to miss!

I spent the entire book with my head full of theories of what was actually happening with our characters. Just as I thought I had it figured a whole new layer of mystery was revealed and it was back to the drawing board! It is such an exciting read and I was constantly grabbing onto every little thing like they were major clues that were going to help me figure out what was going on!!

“You think you can make me like you again?”
I look over at her and give my head the slightest shake. “No. I’m gonna make you fall in love with me again.”

And then there was THAT ending. If you’ve read it then you know what I’m talking about, if you haven’t then believe me it is an ending that EVERYONE needs to read! It’s a bit of a cliff hanger, but in a totally good and majorly exciting way, and the way in which everything happens in like the last 3 ages just makes it all that more intense and heart pounding!!! It really was the perfect place and way to end book one and I can only imagine where they are going to take book two!!! (and chances are my theories would be wrong on that too!)

Final Thoughts

Captivating and totally unique Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher deserve our respect and undying gratitude for this incredible book. Sadly there is no official release date for book two yet, rumours have it somewhere around May. So I guess it’s going to be a loooooong 5 months!

Re-Readability: Totally (as in I already have!)

I would recommend this book to fans of: Colleen Hoover
romances, a totally unique concept, mysteries that they just love to figure out!
