The Story
 .(summary from Goodreads)

With a seven-year age difference, Ryke & Daisy have faced an uphill battle in the eyes of the world and their families. Known as the most adventurous, fast-paced couple — their next step has always been elusive to the rabid media.

Behind the scenes, heartbreaking troubles continue to test Ryke & Daisy’s resilience and shape their future together.

They promise:
To never slow down.
To never compromise who they are.
To never abandon their love for each other.

But preserving their happiness also means adding more risks. Ones that Connor Cobalt wouldn’t even take. As a professional free-solo climber, Ryke is no stranger to risk, but his next step with Daisy wagers more than just his health.

With their lives on the line, Ryke & Daisy head towards the vast, wild unknown in this epic final conclusion to the Addicted series.

***Authors’ Note***
It’s possible to only read the Calloway Sisters spin-off series without reading the Addicted series, but you MUST read Fuel the Fire (Calloway Sisters #3) before reading Long Way Down (Calloway Sisters #4).

It’s highly recommended to read the books in the recommended reading order, which is in tangent with the Addicted series.

My Thoughts

I can’t believe we have reached the end of this incredible series. I remember being sent the first book to review and thinking, “What? A book about a sex addict?! This does not sound like my type of book.” But it was, and the rest of the series continued in style and each book made me love these incredible characters more and more, and the perfect writing duo, Becca and Krista Ritchie for bringing them into our lives!

I couldn’t pick my favourite couple in this series, but Ryke and Daisy will always hold a special place in my heart because the build up to their relationship was fantastic (and also agonising because we just wanted them together!). Theire relationship is different to the others with the trust and friendship groundwork being layed first before ny kind of relationship began. This book throws some pretty serious obstacles in their way, but like always they run towards them head first willing to take on anything to get to their happy ending.

“I have this theory…

They are the the reckless ones, the risk takers, but they are also the most selfless out of the entire group. Both Ryke and Daisy have had some big struggles in their lives and neither of them have come out of it unscathed. But Ryke is still there, the rock for the entire group and is always there with love and understanding to anyone who needs him. And then there is Daisy, who has been burned and hurt by the people she has trusted, but she is still a beautifully caring person and hasn’t let such horrible experiences define who she is.

“Then one day I realised that you are lightning. And together we make the perfect storm.”

The dynamics of the group has always blown me away and I don’t think I will ever meet a group of characters quite like this again. Whether it’s the Calloway sisterhood or the brotherly love of Lo, Connor & Ryke, the Ritchie sisters continue to develop and grow these characters and make us fall in love with them over and over. Saying goodbye to these characters has been hard, but being with them through everything has been quite the experience and one I feel extremely lucky to say I have read.

“Relationships that take the most effort and the most time become the most mightiest, most resilient bonds in the end.”

I’ve been really good in this review and tried to tell you nothing at all, because going into this story blind is by far the best way to read it. But I have to mention, there is this epilogue…and it’s the best thing ever. If you are anything like you you will cry and swoon and happy dance and then cry some more, because it is that awesome.

“We deserve better. We deserve happiness. As sisters. And as friends.”

The Addicted series was more than just a series of books, it was an adventure. An unforgettable journey of friendship and family, love and sacrifice. A journey that took our characters from rock bottom to happily ever after. When I picked up that first book I has no idea what to expect and I can’t lie, I thought I was going to hate it. But from that very first book I found myself in love with it all, the characters, the story, the authors and there was no way I could have stopped reading this series part way through, I was in it for the long haul!

“I’ve watched Lo become sober
I’ve watched Lily curb a relentless addiction
I’ve watched Rose blaze her own trail and put fire to stereotype.
I’ve watched Connor fall in love. With more than just himself.
I’ve watched Ryke Meadows unclip his shackles and rise again.
I’ve discovered who I am.

Final Thoughts

Exhilarating yet heartbreaking, I dare you to not fall in love with this book. Becca and Krista Ritchie bring it all in this book and give us the perfect conclusion to this epic saga. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, or more beautiful or more full of love than the ending they gave us.

Re-Readability: Over and over and over…

I would recommend this book to fans of: the Addicted Series, the Calloway Sisters series, New Adult Romances, friend to lover, bromances.
