The Story(summary from Goodreads)

He’s addicted to booze. She’s addicted to sex… staying sober is only half the battle.

No. More. Sex.

Those are the three words Lily Calloway fears the most. But Loren Hale is determined to be with Lily without enabling her dangerous compulsions. With their new living situation—sleeping in the same bed, for real, together—Lily has new battles. Like not jumping Lo’s bones every night. Not being consumed by sex and his body.

Loren plans to stay sober, to right all of his wrongs. So when someone threatens to expose Lily’s secret to her family and the public, he promises that he’ll do anything to protect her. But with old enemies surfacing, Lo has more at stake than his sobriety.

They will torment Lily until Lo breaks.

And his worst fear isn’t relapsing. He hears the end. He sees it. The one thing that could change everything. Just three words.

No. More. Us.

New hair style! Kinda messy in this video, but still totally loving my bob like hair!

My Thoughts

This series started strong and is still going strong at book 3. Ricochet was a good ‘middle’ book to keep us occupied whilst we waited for this one to be written. But I will admit that after a full 260 pages with only a little bit of Lo, I was super excited for book one purely for his return.

“Sometimes the person we think we’ll become is the person we already are, and the person we truly become is the person we least expect.”

One new thing with this book is that it is no longer just from Lily’s POV. Now we get to see inside of Lo’s head too, which is especially great because as well as seeing his own struggles from his POV, we also get to see Lily’s struggles and how them impact him. As well as all the lovey dovey thoughts they have about each other too!

“He is my breath. My soul. My life-force. I have spent forever with him.”

Lo has a lot to deal with this book, he is out of rehab and back in to the world of temptation. He can’t even go for a run down the road without having to run past bars and liquor stores. But the thing that makes Lo really special in this book is that, even though he has his own addiction to deal with, he makes helping Lily overcome her addiction his main thing. His feelings for her have not gone away. If anything they are stronger after their time apart and he is petrified of what his life would become without her in it.

“Why is it that the people you come to love are the ones that seem to hurt you the most?”

Just like Lo, Lily now has her addiction right in front of her again. After three months with no sex she is sharing a bed with Lo, the love of her life and possibly the hottest man in existence. Lily has a lot of struggles in this book, but having the support that is Lo back in her life she is able to find a way to cope with these and she really grows even more as a person through this book as she learns that she can do it, and that it may be possible for her and Lo to be just like any other couple.

“She shrunk into herself and waited for me to stare at her like she was gross an dirty. But I just wanted to hold her and tell her that she was worth so much more than whatever she was searching for.”

The main problem in this book is the anonymous texts that both Lily and Lo keep receiving threatening to ‘out’ Lily to the world. I spent a lot of time swapping my mind from “it’s him” to “it’s her” about a million times until it’s finally revealed and I’m like “oh, I never thought of them!” It makes an already hard time even harder for Lily and Lo and our hearts break for them as their hopes for a normal life is once again taken away from them.

“I need you to know that I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be here when you come home. There will always be an us.

We get lots more Rose & Connor and Ryke & Daisy in this book, and tons of hilarious, sweet and drama filled moments. I really like that although this is Lily and Lo’s story the secondary characters have a big role too and not just as support for our main couple, but with their own stories too.

“Because I think she loves you more than she loves sex. And you love her more than you love alcohol, but you two just haven’t let yourselves believe it yet.

Final Thoughts

Just as honest and raw as the previous books, this one gives us more of the good and the bad, the struggles and the sexy. Krista & Becca continue to shine with this obsessive series and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Re-Readability: Yes!

I would recommend this book to fans of: the Addicted Series, the Calloway Sisters series, New Adult Romances, friend to lover, bromances.

Great review, Hannah! I really loved the switch from only Lily’s POV to a dual POV in this one. I thought it added so much to the story to be able to be in Lo’s head. Although often that was a painful place to be. It was wonderful to see how much a loved Lily and wanted to be there for her; but it was difficult to see how ard he was on himself and much he struggled. And my heart really broke for Ryke at the end. 🙁 I’ll be starting Addicted After All soon and can’t wait for more of their story!
