Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.
Each week they release a Top Ten Theme and invite everyone to join in and make their own Top Ten List.
It’s been over a month since I’ve been on here and it felt so strange logging in to WordPress and opening up a new post again, but it’s so nice to be back.
Thanks to everyone for your lovely messages whilst I was away from the blog. As much as I didn’t want to step away from Broc’s Bookcase, and tried my hardest to keep up with it whilst also studying for my Masters and working Full time, it was the right thing to do and allowed me to spend the time with my Grandad, stress free, during his final weeks. It’s been hard, but I’ve missed the bookish community so much and I’m so ready to get back to it and immerse myself in books, books and even more books!
So, first Top Ten Tuesday of my return and it’s all about the books we want for Christmas! To be honest, I think I only have 2 books on my list this year because I am just so behind with all the ones for the later part of 2016 so decided to read them first! But here are some books that I would not be angry if they appeared in my stocking on Christmas day!
Illuminae & Gemina – I have heard so many amazing things about these two books since they were both released and I have been meaning to read them for FOREVER! I have asked for these for Christmas so big hopes that they are in my stocking Christmas day!
The Last Beginning – I am ashamed to say that I haven’t read this book yet! I loved the previous ones and was dying to get a hold of this one, but with everything going on at home I never got myself a copy. Hopefully there will be one in my stocking on Christmas day!
The Midnight Star – This series have always been a bit of a conundrum for me because it’s written from the “bad guys (or girls)” POV which I have struggled with at times. None the less I want to finish this trilogy so hoping I end up with a copy!
Timekeeper – I need a new dystopian/fantasy series and this one looks perfect! Plus I have heard amazing things about it!
Heartless – It’s Marisa Meyer, no other explanation needed!
The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily – Perfect for the Christmas period! I didn’t actually know there was a sequel until I find this on goodreads today but would love a copy for my stocking!
What Light – Sounds christmassy, which is perfect! Also it sounds like there is going to be a healing romance which I LOVE!
Everyone We’ve Been – I have to admit, it was the cover that initially drew me to this one (such pretty colours), but then I checked out the story and it’s so unique sounding, I would love a copy of this one!
