The Sin Eaters Daughter (Melissa Salisbury) and Red Queen (Victoria Aveyard)

Arin and Roshar (The Winners Kiss)
I loved the development of their relationship through the entire trilogy but especially in the final book. They have to be one of my favourite bromances of all time!

20. Favorite Book You Read in 2016 From An Author You’ve Read Previously
Straight – Seth King
He writes some of the most beautiful books I have ever read and isn’t scared of a tough topic. He is an author I have read before and will definitely be reading again.

21. Book You Read In 2016 That You Read Based SOLELY On A Recommendation From Somebody Else/Peer Pressure:
One – Sarah Crossen
I would say that I read is based mostly on hype (which I should have learnt by now is not the right thing to do) and I have to say that I was massively disappointed in it. I should have learnt by now that hype doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be any good.

He was just the perfect man. Sexy, sensitive and just beautiful inside and out.

This book was unique because it was printed in a format that was dyslexia friendly, which is something I didn’t even know was a thing until I met a company that did it at YALC. Pretty cool stuff.

30. Book That Made You The Most Mad (doesn’t necessarily mean you didn’t like it)?
Honesty – Seth King
This book made me mad because it focuses on a very real issue still happening in the world today and that is NOT acceptable.

1. New favorite book blog you discovered in 2016?
I haven’t really discovered many new ones, I’m very much a creature of habit. I do still hold a massive amount of love for Paper Fury and A Fools Ingenuity though. They are two blogs I definitely couldn’t live without!

2. Favorite review that you wrote in 2016?
It Ends With Us – Colleen Hoover
I always find reviews for books that I have loved super hard and I always hate reading back over my reviews because I feel like they sound stupid, but I remember reading this one back and thinking that it was actually pretty good!

3. Best discussion/non-review post you had on your blog?
Book Cataloging, Are You Doing It?
I’ve been looking into cataloging my books for quite a while and so really enjoyed putting this post together and researching all the different apps that you can use to catalogue.

4. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?
I went to YALC for the 3rd year in a row and spend 3 whole days surrounded by authors, books and other bookworms just like me! This year I got to meet Victoria Schwab, Alwyn Hamilton, Melissa Salisbury and Lauren James just to name a few.

5. Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2016?
It would have to be YALC and being recognised by Alwyn Hamilton as one of the bloggers who reviewed her book. She then also remembered me the next day when we ran into each other in Tesco and spent 10 minutes chatting about our Hogwarts houses!

6. Most Popular Post This Year On Your Blog (whether it be by comments or views)?
A find it totally amazing that my most popular post (for the second year running) is Comparing and Judging Harry Potter Covers, which I posted in July 2015!
But if we are talking about something that I have posted this year, then the most popular (by views) would be my review for A Beautiful Funeral (Jamie McGuire).

7. Post You Wished Got A Little More Love?
Not a specific post, but my weekly feature Sunday Funday. Some of these posts take me hours to create and it’s sometimes a bit disappointing to log on and see that hardly anyone has checked them out. But then I guess as long as I am still getting the enjoyment from writing them then that’s the main thing!

8. Best bookish discovery (book related sites, book stores, etc.)?
I think it would have to be when I discovered Storybook cosmetics had made some Harry Potter make up brushes, they were amazing! You can check them out in my Harry Potter Make Up post, but you should also go check out their website because they have just created a new Quill eyeliner brush which is super cute!

9. Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?
I kind of lost count with all my challenges in the second half of this year due to my Grandad getting ill and me having to take a hiatus from my blog to help care for him. I just missed out on my goodreads challenge by 3 books (annoying!) but I am really looking forward to

The final book in the Scarred Souls series. This book is incredible and I can’t recommend it, and the entire series, enough.
