The weekend is almost over, which means back to work tomorrow for most of us. So to cheer you up (and myself) I am going to be giving you a little bit of bookish fun every Sunday, to make the end of the weekend that little bit easier!
Only 1 more week until Easter…yippeee! An entire weekend of eating chocolate awaits! I am currently spending my first full day in Vancouver, Canada with my big sister. I’m here for a whole 2 weeks!
Now, Chocolate eggs are a big part of Easter eating, but there are so many other treats you can make too! Here are some of my favourites…
I love Rice Krispie cakes, they are the perfect Easter treat and so simple to make. If you’re not a fan of marshmallows you can always swap them for some melted white chocolate (or you can use milk/dark chocolate and make a ‘nest’ instead with the eggs placed in it).
A fan of cookie dough? These are super yummy and are perfect for beginner bakers. Just make the dough balls and then cover in icing, simple! The only way you can go wrong with these is if you forget all about them and leave them in the oven for hours and burn them (this is why alarms were invented!
I am a massive fan of rocky road, and so what could be better than Easter themed Rocky Road! It’s such a simple thing to make too, you really can’t go wrong with it! Plus, it’s a great way to use up any leftover Easter Eggs (not that anyone ever has any left over Easter eggs!)
And finally, how about some Creme Egg Fudge?! My family always make fudge at Easter time and it probably only lasts about a day before we have eaten it all! This recipe is a great way to use up Creme Eggs and Mini eggs in a totally yummy way.
If you’ve been around Broc’s Bookcase during Easter then you will have probably seen my Easter posts from previous years. But here are the links incase you missed out…
